In
1967, after 15 years working in the
plumbing and heating industry, John
VanderWeide and a partner started
Kentwood Plumbing and Heating. They
located the firm in the newly incorporated
City of Kentwood on the southwest
side of Grand Rapids.
Kentwood
Plumbing and Heating grew with the
city, and so did John's family. John
and Joan VanderWeide raised their
family, and soon their boys were helping
dad with the business.
In
1999, John turned over the business
to two of his sons, Paul and John.
They have continued John's original
tradition of valuing each customer
and doing the job right.
